Our Story
A Berber family home in the heart of the High Atlas
We are Said and his family, and we invite you to experience the real Morocco.
Berber Homestay is not a hotel — it’s our home. Located in the peaceful Ijoukak Valley, just 90 minutes from Marrakech, we welcome travelers from around the world to stay with us as family.
Here, you’ll wake up to mountain views, share home-cooked meals around our table, learn to make traditional bread and tagine, and discover a side of Morocco most tourists never see.
In September 2023, the earthquake that shook the High Atlas damaged our home and our valley. After more than two years of rebuilding, we proudly reopened in December 2025. When you stay with us, you’re not just a guest — you’re helping our community rebuild through tourism.

Each room is named after one of Said’s five sisters. The oldest room carries the name of the eldest, the newest the youngest. Every room is unique, built and added over the years as our homestay grew.
